This could all be solved by allowing priests to marry. The Apostle Paul didn't forbid marriage--he only encouraged celebacy if one is gifted with it--to serve God more fully. NOT to abuse children. No denomination is perfect, but this is a scourge on a beautiful church.

No, it does not solve anything. The priest is “in persona Christi” by spiritual consecration to Him. Orthodox priests who can marry still have abuse crises. School teachers have highest percentage of child abuse yet are of diverse marital status. Marital status does not prevent sin.
